This article covers the emergency extension of a Statistica program license. The emergency extension of the Statistica software serves the purpose of temporarily extending the product when the license expiration date is approaching or the license has already expired. It can be used in situations where you need to resolve a problem with an existing license, cover the period until a new license is ordered, and so on.
The following applies to the emergency license extension for the single-user version:
- the validity will be extended by 14 days
- it can be used only once during the license validity period
- available from Statistica 12
- requires an internet connection
Before license expiration
We perform the extension in the Statistica software, with the ribbon displayed, via the menu Soubor / Nápověda – Podpora / Více podrobností:
After license expiration
In the notification dialog, we select the Obnovení licence: option
Via the website
We use this option in the following cases:
- limited or no internet connection on the computer where Statistica is installed (or the floating license manager)
- the floating license manager is not installed (network versions)
- an error occurred when clicking the Žádost o prodloužení button.
- for versions older than Statistica 12
You can request a temporary extension via the website (if needed, even from a computer other than the one where Statistica is installed). In the form, you need to enter an email address and attach the license file STAT.lic. The license file is located in the Statistica installation directory, usually:
